Bio
It started with a single melody. At age five, Fred Guggenberger sat down at a keyboard and played back everything he heard – instantly. While traditional teachers struggled with his refusal to be confined to a single genre, Fred spent decades mastering five core instruments—guitar, piano, organ, keyboard, and synthesizer—while developing proficiency across several others, including mandolin, bass, and percussion. Driven by a deep love for the raw energy of Rock’n’Roll, the precision of Classical scores, and the soul of American Roots music, he has cultivated a versatility that informs every composition he creates.
Fred’s career has always been defined by independence and a global reach. Long before digital streaming became the norm, he built an international fanbase as an independent "Internet Rockstar" on MySpace, reaching audiences from the USA to Australia. This proactive and self-driven approach also fueled his success as a Kindle best-selling author, showing that his storytelling ability extends far beyond the fretboard.
Today, Fred focuses on creating high-end music for Sync licensing. His work is a fusion of 80s nostalgia, guitar virtuosity, and orchestral depth. Whether it’s authentic Rockabilly, complex Jazz arrangements, or cinematic compositions, Fred delivers a "human touch" in a digital world. He doesn't just produce tracks; he composes atmospheres that resonate with the narrative heart of any visual project.
Fred Guggenberger is a musician whose work draws on decades of study across diverse ancient spiritual traditions, while Taoism has become his home, including practices such as Qigong, Neigong, and Inner Alchemy. He trained with several teachers, including Grandmaster Mantak Chia and Walter Kellenberger, who saw him as ready to share these teachings, while his practice spans many styles and approaches. This deep engagement with energy and flow informs his music, giving every track balance, intention, and subtle vibration. For Fred, composing is more than arranging notes—it’s an act of balancing energy, ensuring each track carries a meaningful, felt impact.
